The current version of Airfox is: 2.1

IMPORTANT:

It is important to have the latest version. If you are using an older version, then you will not have access to the latest features of Airfox and you may be posed to security risks.

HOW DO I FIND WHICH VERSION OF AIRFOX I AM USING:

To find the version of Airfox that you are using, click the three1 button, select About and then you will see the following message:

Instead of xxx, you will see the version you are using.

CHANGELOG:

2.1:

The homepage has been changed to Google because start.me had advertisements that redirected the user to other websites.

2.0:

Changes on the user interface, stability improvements and overall much better browsing experinece. It is strongly recommended that you update to Airfox 2.0 as soon as possible.

1.9:

Bug-Fixes, translations overview, an overall better performance and newsfeed was removed. Also, the settings are saved in the user profile. Please note that because of this change, in some cases, Airfox may fail to update from previous versions. If you are experiencing this problem, try removing the older version of Airfox first, and then install Airfox 1.9.

1.8:

Bug fixes and UI fixes.

1.7:

A stabler UI and some bug-fixes.

1.6:

A new notification system, a new updater and settings about the cache. Also, the Gecko engine has been updated to the version 33.

1.5:

The Clear Browsing Data tool doesn’t leave leftovers, an updater that helps you to update Airfox to its latest version is available, a new settings window, which allows you to change the homepage and change advanced settings, a new homepage with lots of useful links, a getting started guide is shown when you launch Airfox for the first time and your settings are saved when you update Airfox. Support for Airfox 1.4 and older has been ended. Please update to Airfox 1.5 as soon as possible.

The Gecko engine has been updated to the version 31.

The UI has been changed Also, an integrated E-mail Client, an HTML Editor, and a News Feed are available.

The menu’s font has been changed and the icons have the same size.

1.0:

This is the first final version of Airfox. It can download files and it has some bug fixes. Support for all RC and Beta versions has been ended.

RC10:

The XUL browsing engine is updated to the version 29 from the version 22.

RC9:

The bug with the address bar is fixed and options have been added. To use them, type about:config in the address bar.

RC8:

The installer creates a desktop shortcut.

RC7:

The bug with the address bar is fixed in this version.

RC6:

The UI’s fonts have been changed.

RC5:

A “Go” button and a new Help menu with more options are included in this version.

RC4:

The RC4 version wasn’t available to public. There is no changelog for it.

RC3:

Some bug fixes.

RC2:

The Prime version has become a lot faster. We introduce a new UI with some new icons, support for plugins, the implementation of the Gecko browsing engine, lots of bug-fixes and more consistency during browsing. The Feather edition is discontinued and support for Windows 2000 is dropped. Also, a Google searching bar is available. Also, the installer of Airfox  doesn’t require the current user to be an administrator any more.

RC1:

The RC1 version of Airfox wasn’t available to public. There is no changelog for it.

BETA 4:
The Gecko engine and XULRunner replaced the Trident Engine. A new bookmarks manager and lots of Bug fixes are included in the new version.

BETA 3:

A lot of new things like bookmarks, history, tabs, tools for developers, page properties, the ability to save website on your hard disk, and a new more easy-to-use user interface (UI). Also a lightweight (Airfox Feather) version is available.

BETA 2:

Added several shortcut keys support (like CTRL+P, CTRL+C, CTRL+X, CTRL+V, CTRL+T and CTRL+F4) and instant view of web pages when you type in the address bar.

BETA 1:

Added files downloading, ability to resize and a few bug fixes. Support for all alpha version has ended. If you want a secure version of Airfox, then download the new version.

ALPHA 5:

A new logo and some bug-fixes.

ALPHA 4:

A new background, added about page, privacy improvements and a few other bug-fixes.

ALPHA 3:

A new, easier to use environment that supports tabs and right-clicking.

ALPHA 2:

Some bug fixes from Alpha 1.

ALPHA 1:

The first version.

PREVIOUS VERSIONS:

Some previous versions are still available to download. Keep in mind that using previous versions is dangerous because previous versions may contain bugs and security issues. You should only use them for archiving purposes. Do not use previous version unless you are sure what you are doing. Please note that not all previous versions are available.
