INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

If you don’t know how to install Airfox, then you can see the installation instructions by clicking here.

INFORMATION:

The menu button is the  button, which is located in the top right corner of Airfox.

HELP FOR USERS THAT USE AIRFOX FOR THE FIRST TIME:

When you open Airfox for first time, you will see a “Getting Started with Airfox” window, which shows you the basic features of Airfox. To see this window again, click the menu button, select “Help” and click on “Getting Started Help”.

USING TABBED BROWSING:

To open a new browsing tab, click the menu button and select “Add Tab”. To close the current tab, click on the menu button and select “Close Tab”. To switch between tabs, click the name of the tab from the tab selector, which is located above the web site you are viewing.

BOOKMARKING PAGES:

If you want to save a page, in order to go to it later. To do this, click the menu button and select “Bookmarks”. To add the current site into the bookmarks, click the “Add the current URL to the bookmarks” button. To go to a bookmark, double-click the URL of the bookmark above.

DOWNLOADING FILES WITH AIRFOX:

Airfox understands automatically that you want to download when you go to a page that wants to download a file and shows the download manager. To download this file, click the “Download” button of the download manager and select where you want to save your file. If you close the download manager and leave Airfox open, your file will be still being downloaded. To see the downloading progress, click the menu button and select “Downloader”. You can also download a file manually, by typing the download URL in the download manager. To do this, click the menu button, select “Downloader”, type the URL in the text box and click the “Download” button.

CLEARING THE BROWSING DATA:

The Browsing Data is stored in your computer, and it is the saved passwords, your site’s offline activity etc. The Browsing Data is also images from web sites, parts from web sites and data that is saved in your computer. Over the time (like every browser), the Browsing Data may become large and use a lot of disk space on your hard disk. Airfox has an automatic browsing data manager, but if you want to clear the browsing data manually, click the menu button, select “Clear Browsing Data”, click “Clear Browsing Data”, click “Close Airfox and clear browsing data” and the browsing data will be cleared.

SETTINGS:

To access Airfox Settings, click the menu icon and then select “Settings (Ctrl+M)”. After doing this you will see the settings window. There, you can select your homepage (homepage is the page you see when you launch the browser) and change the advanced settings of Airfox (do it only if you are an experienced with computers user). Type the URL of your homepage there and click “Save”. When you relaunch Airfox or click the homepage button, you will see the homepage you have selected. If you want to restore to the default homepage, then click the button “Restore Default” and then click “Save”. Click the “Show Advanced Settings” button only if you are an experienced with computers user.  To reset Airfox Advanced Settings to their default values, click the “Reset Advanced Settings” button and then select “Close Airfox and reset Advanced Settings”. To reset all settings to their default values, click the “Reset all settings” button and then select “Close Airfox and reset the Settings”. Your bookmarks will be kept.

GET HELP WITH THE HTML EDITOR:

To launch the HTML Editor, click the menu button and select “HTML Editor”. The HTML Editor will appear. There, type the HTML code that you want to compile. Select “Preview” to preview your changes. To save what your code to an HTML file, click the “File” menu, select “Save As…”, select where you want to save the HTML file and click “Save”.

GET HELP WITH THE MAIL CLIENT:

Firstly, select the email service you have. Secondly type your login data. In the field “From” you have to type your e-mail, in the field “Subject” the subject of the message you want to send and in the field “Message” the message you want to send. After doing these, you have to click the “Send” button. When the message is sent (it usually takes up to one second, depending on your internet connection’s speed) you will see a message which says that the message has been sent.

KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS:

You can use keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+A (Select All), Ctrl+P (Print), Ctrl+C (to copy), Ctrl+X (to cut), Ctrl+V (to paste), Ctrl+T (to add a new tab), Ctrl+B (bookmarks menu), Ctrl+L (for the about window), Ctrl+H (to open the Airfox’s HTML Editor), Ctrl+Q (to open the Airfox’s news feed), Ctrl+L (to open the About window of Airfox), Ctrl+F4 (to close the current tab), Ctrl+J (to open the Airfox’s file downloader), Ctrl+E (to open the Airfox’s email client),  Ctrl+M (to open the Airfox’s settings), F5 (to refresh the current page) and F1 (for the help section).

HELP ABOUT .NET:

If you see an error message about .NET when you launch Airfox, then you should update your .NET version by clicking here.
